Shopify Image Specs

Product images:

Should be 4x5 crop ratio. 1280x1600.

If the photo has a transparent element, save it either as a save for web PNG8 or PNG24 depending on what looks best. Obviously, the smaller the file size the quicker load.

If the photo does not have a transparent background (macro shots, etc) you can save it as a save for web jpg. The image quality can be 60.

Banner Images:

Desktop: Home page banner images should be 1560x1050. You can save these as save for web jpgs or gifs. Keep in mind the gifs are quite heavy so you will need to drop the quality down quite a bit.

Mobile: Home page banner images should be 750x1100. Same as above for specs.

Collection List:

Collection page images should be 1120x1200. You can save these as save for web jpgs or gifs. Keep in mind the gifs are quite heavy so you will need to drop the quality down quite a bit.
